Phase-Type Distributions of Animal Trajectories with Random Walks

چکیده
Animal monitoring systems often rely on expensive and challenging GPS-based to obtain accurate trajectories. However, an alternative approach is generate synthetic trajectories that exhibit similar statistical properties real These can be used effectively in the design of surveillance such as wireless sensor networks drone-based techniques, which aid data collection delineation areas for animal conservation reintroduction efforts. In this study, we propose a generation method utilizes simple phase-type distributions produce By employing probability distribution functions based exponential distribution, achieve highly approximations movement patterns four distinct species. This significantly reduces processing time complexity. The research primarily focuses generating endangered species, comprising two terrestrial flying order demonstrate efficacy proposed method.

3 Stationary Distributions of Random Walks
In today’s lecture, we consider a random walk on an undirected graph. One way to think about a random walk is to imagine somebody walking through a city with no particular goal in mind. At each intersection, he or she chooses a random street to take next. We ask the questions: How long until this person reaches a particular point? How long until he/she has been to every intersection or every st...
متن کاملTranslation-Randomizable Distributions via Random Walks
This work continues the search for viable intractability assumptions over infinite groups. In particular, we study the possibility of phrasing random self-reducibility properties for infinite groups in an analogous manner to the case of finite groups with the uniform distribution. As a first step, it is natural to look for distributions which are translation-invariant, i.e., the probability of ...
متن کاملClassification and properties of acyclic discrete phase-type distributions based on geometric and shifted geometric distributions
Acyclic phase-type distributions form a versatile model, serving as approximations to many probability distributions in various circumstances. They exhibit special properties and characteristics that usually make their applications attractive. Compared to acyclic continuous phase-type (ACPH) distributions, acyclic discrete phase-type (ADPH) distributions and their subclasses (ADPH family) have ...
متن کاملOn certain properties of trajectories of integer-valued random walks
This diploma paper is devoted to studying particular integer-valued random walks with discrete time and their trajectories. Speci cally, two properties are of interest here: whether the random walk hits the lower half-plane (or, in other words, whether the ruin occurs over in nite time), and whether the random walk returns to zero in nitely often. We start studying both properties by considerin...
متن کاملBallistic Phase of Self-Interacting Random Walks
We explain a unified approach to a study of ballistic phase for a large family of self-interacting random walks with a drift and self-interacting polymers with an external stretching force. The approach is based on a recent version of the OrnsteinZernike theory developed in Campanino et al. (2003, 2004, 2007). It leads to local limit results for various observables (e.g., displacement of the en...
